I never write about my campus in any of my previous posts, (as long as I remember), and this will be the first.
UTP is a very small campus. The politics of UTP is so super duper lame, as only a small portion of the students aware and trying to take part of it. But, to make it more interesting, there is a group of people who are only aware of campus politics(after a year of focusing to something else) only during the campus election.
The same issue every year, they claimed that Rakan Masjid is the one who conquer MPPUTP. Well, they also use highly intellectual (from their point of view) such as captive mind. They blame everyone, they blame cronyism, they blame everything that pops up into their mind.
They want change, they push for democracy, which is good btw, but sadly, they want changes while they can blog and chat without needing to do anything. They want the change to come spontaneously. They want change, but they never change.
Well, my friend, as a senior, (I will be final semester student very soon) let me talk for the others who sometimes feel that you guys are talking too much.
First of all, I have to admit that the previous MPP President, is my junior and my close friend. I know him well, very well.
He had done a tremendous work during his time. He pushed for study week, which helped us to having a few days break before the exams start. He also pushed and fought for the welfare of CM affected students, which results to change of CM policy.
He did all this with his effort and determination to see a better UTP. He did this without writing a single blog post.
In fact, previous MPPs done a great job. Parkings, futsal courts and etc are just a few contribution of previous MPPs. Us? Just blaming and condemning MPP for not doing anything.
Well, this is what we call change. You want change? You NEED TO START THE CHANGE.
Captive mind prevents us to do so. Captive mind always make us to think that everything will be the same and criticizing without doing anything is the best policy. Well, keep doing that, if you prefer, but stop blaming others on your on ‘captive mind’.
I will change this time. I will vote for Jenani, the only bold non-malay to contest for the top posts.
And I will never blame Rakan Masjid.
ABDUL HADI BIN ALIAS
ex-President
SRMUTP 08.
